How We Test VPS Providers

Our testing methodology is designed to be transparent and reproducible. For each VPS provider, we provision equivalent instances and deploy identical applications using Docker Compose.

We measure server provisioning time, application startup time, response latency under load, disk I/O performance, network throughput, and sustained performance over 30-day periods. All benchmarks are run multiple times and averaged to account for variance.

We re-run tests quarterly and after major provider changes to keep our data current. Our recommendations prioritize value, which means the best combination of price and performance for self-hosted workloads.
